Hannah Merschen of AKCG Public Relations was recently voted as president of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association. Two other members of AKCG also were appointed to the board of governors for the group.

The organization held its annual meeting at The Sporting Club on July 9, during which the association officially elected the incoming board. The new board will begin its term on Sept. 1.
Merschen is currently the senior account manager at AKCG, where she leads multiple account teams in the senior living and education spaces and also oversees the firm’s internship program. She joined PPRA in 2019 and was appointed vice president of communications to the board in 2022, a role she has held for the past three years.
Madison is a senior associate at AKCG and contributes to media relations and community engagement efforts in the senior living, education and association spaces. She joined PPRA in 2023 and has been actively volunteering through the association’s college relations committee.
Hilario is account manager at AKCG and leads multiple account teams, primarily in the senior living spaces. He joined PPRA in 2023 and was appointed as a director in 2024. In his role, Kenneth oversees and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for the association.
