Alessio’s Café, a popular Italian eatery and local favorite, is set to open its third location, adding a signature blend of authentic Italian cuisine and warm hospitality to the Weehawken waterfront. The new café will be located at Hartz Mountain Industries’ The Reserve at Estuary, marking a significant addition to the area’s burgeoning live-work-play community.
The official opening will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 23.
A milestone for Lincoln Harbor
The new 2,200-square-foot café is situated within The Reserve at Estuary, Hartz Mountain Industries’ newest 218-unit luxury rental development, which is already over 75% leased. Its opening represents a major step in the final phase of Lincoln Harbor’s transformation from an industrial railyard into a vibrant community.
Founded by Weehawken resident Luca Infantino, Alessio’s has become a neighborhood staple in its Hoboken and Jersey City locations. The new waterfront café promises to continue this tradition, offering stunning views of the Hudson River and an inviting atmosphere. The design features a mix of clean, modern lines and warm, natural finishes, including both indoor and outdoor dining spaces.
Authentic Italian fare and community focus
Guests can look forward to a menu inspired by Italy’s Puglia region, featuring rustic charm and high-quality ingredients sourced directly from Italy. The offerings will include breakfast sandwiches, paninis, pastries, salads, pastas, pizzas, and artisan coffee.
Infantino and his team are also bringing their commitment to local engagement to Weehawken. The café will continue its beloved “sandwich for a cause” program, which donates proceeds to local charities, mirroring the success of its counterparts in Hoboken and Jersey City.
The ribbon-cutting event will be attended by Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, Hartz Mountain Industries executives Ezra Stern, Eddie Stern, and Larry Garb, and Alessio’s founder Luca Infantino. Attendees will be offered a taste of the new café with light bites, including Italian pastries and treats, artisan coffee, and soft drinks.
