Lasolas Market (& Deli), situated at 3591 Route 35 North, Normandy Beach, has been sold to Mid-Shore Meats of Toms River, according to an announcement from Bielat Santore & Company’s broker Robert Gillis.
The one-stop-shop market has been successfully operated by the same family for over 20 years and has grown into a beloved staple for all Barrier Island communities during the summer season from May to September.
The original owners have cultivated a rich tradition of serving only the finest quality sandwiches, salads, prepared foods, market items, fresh produce, and custom-cut prime meats. Catering to the significant influx of summer vacationers, all items are made fresh daily on the premises, utilizing time-tested family recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, BBQs, and everything in between.
“This transaction was not only a meeting of the minds, but a meeting of the meats,” Gillis said.
With over 30 years of a successful record, Mid-Shore proudly identifies as an “old school” butcher shop and deli, specializing in Italian meats and delicacies. The business has earned a reputation for an extensive selection of delectable, house-made sausages, stuffed breads, subs, salads, and wraps, not to mention the renowned mozzarella and Brooklyn breads.
Mid-Shore Meats says it intends to run the 2025 season in a manner consistent with previous years, while also introducing its own unique specialty products.
To facilitate a smooth and seamless transition, the former owners and key personnel will remain on site throughout the entire season.
