Former Fiserv CEO Frank Bisignano, renowned chef David Burke, Inserra Supermarkets CEO Larry Inserra and real estate developer Zygi Wilf head the list of business leaders who are part of the next class of the N.J. Hall of Fame.
Sheila Oliver, the state’s second Lt. Governor and the first woman of color elected to statewide office in the state’s history, and David Wilentz, a former attorney general of New Jersey and founder of law firm Wilentz, Goldman, and Spitzer, will be honored posthumously.
The list of 17 inductees includes a number of entertainers and sports stars, including the Jonas Brothers, the Isley Brothers, former Devils goalie Martin Brodeur and four-time Olympic Gold medalist and world-record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, who – at age 25 – is the youngest honoree and still in the prime of her career.
The inductees will be honored on Nov. 21 at The Rink @ The Arena at American Dream, the new home of the Hall. Danny DeVito is tentatively scheduled to host.
Jon Hanson, chairman of the New Jersey Hall of Fame and Hampshire Real Estate Companies (and a Hall of Famer himself), saluted the honorees.
“As we approach the first anniversary of our permanent home at American Dream, this incoming class reflects the very best of New Jersey’s talent, grit, and influence,” he said. “These inductees have made an extraordinary impact in their respective fields and continue to inspire generations.”
New Jersey Hall of Fame President Steve Edwards agreed.
“This year’s class of inductees remind us of what it means to be Jersey strong and resilient,” he said. “They showcase the incredible range of talent that has come out of New Jersey, from global icons in entertainment to pioneers in sports, public service, and enterprise. We’re proud to honor these heroes who inspire generations to be the best versions of themselves.”
