Casio America names Yusuke Suzuki new president and CEO

Dover-based Casio America on Wednesday announced the appointment of Yusuke Suzuki as its new president and CEO, effective immediately. Suzuki, a seasoned global executive with more than 30 years of experience at Casio, is tasked with leading the company’s renewed commitment to innovation and growth in the U.S. market.

Suzuki succeeds Tomoo Kato, who has led Casio America for the past three years. Kato will return to the company’s headquarters in Tokyo to lead global compliance efforts.

Suzuki brings a wealth of operational expertise and a strong background in building markets across Europe. His appointment comes as the company sharpens its focus on high-growth categories, including timepieces, electronic musical instruments, and education technology.  In his new role, Suzuki will be responsible for all U.S. operations and will set the strategic direction for the business, with an emphasis on strengthening market share and accelerating digital transformation.

“The U.S. remains a cornerstone of Casio’s global growth strategy, and I’m committed to building on our momentum—investing in breakthrough product innovation, customer experience, and brand strength across every category we serve,” Suzuki said.

Suzuki’s extensive career with Casio began in Tokyo in 1993. He spent 25 years in various senior roles across European markets, including serving as managing director for Casio Benelux, Casio Italia, and Casio UK.
