The Chemistry Council of New Jersey (CCNJ) on Wednesday announced the appointment of Richard DiCriscio as its new government affairs manager. The move is designed to bolster the Council’s legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts for the state’s vital chemical manufacturing sector.
In this strategic role, DiCriscio will oversee state-level advocacy, monitor emerging regulatory activity, and collaborate with policymakers to ensure a competitive and sustainable environment for New Jersey manufacturers.
DiCriscio joins the CCNJ with over ten years of experience in public policy and legislative strategy. His career has been defined by a deep involvement in New Jersey’s political landscape:
-
Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Andrea Katz (D-8): Led policy development and engaged with state agencies and business interests.
-
Legislative Director (2nd Legislative District): Advised Assemblymen Vince Mazzeo and John Armato on key regional issues.
-
Public Affairs Consultant: Managed various electoral and advocacy campaigns across the region.
“Rich brings valuable hands-on experience navigating the legislative process and a deep understanding of New Jersey’s political landscape,” Dennis Hart, executive director of the CCNJ said. “His background… will be a strong asset to our members as we continue advocating for sound, science-based policies.”
DiCriscio will join a veteran team at CCNJ that boasts more than 165 years of combined experience. Working alongside Ed Waters, senior director of Government Affairs, DiCriscio will focus on:
-
Advancing advocacy priorities: Ensuring the chemical industry’s voice is heard in Trenton.
