Commvault, a Tinton Falls-based provider of cyber resilience and data protection solutions for the hybrid cloud, on Monday announced it appointed a veteran security executive and Managed Detection and Response pioneer, Geoff Haydon, to its board of directors.
Haydon, a recognized leader with over 30 years of experience building and scaling global technology organizations, will also serve on the company’s Audit Committee. His appointment signals a clear effort by the New Jersey-based firm to deepen its strategic focus on integrating advanced cybersecurity defenses into its data protection portfolio.
“Geoff’s extensive cybersecurity and operational expertise will be an invaluable addition to Commvault’s Board as we continue advancing our leadership in cyber resilience,” Nicholas Adamo, chairman of the board at Commvault.
Haydon brings a wealth of experience from the forefront of the security industry. He currently serves as chief executive officer of Ontinue, a leading provider of AI-powered managed extended detection and response services. At Ontinue, which spun out of Open Systems, Haydon spearheaded the creation of the ION MDR platform and guided the company to profitability in 2025.
His background in building intelligent, resilient security platforms aligns directly with Commvault’s core mission in the current threat landscape.
“Commvault’s mission to help organizations advance cyber resilience in the AI era resonates strongly with my passion for building resilient, intelligent security platforms,” Haydon said. “I look forward to working with the Board and leadership team to support Commvault’s next phase of growth.”
Earlier in his career, Haydon held senior leadership roles at major technology and security companies, including VMware, Secureworks, Absolute Software, EMC, and RSA. His track record in scaling global operations and navigating complex security challenges is expected to provide strategic direction as Commvault continues to integrate data protection with proactive cyber defense solutions.
