Cornerstone at Galloway underway in Atlantic County

Income-restricted family community to be built in three phases

Phase one construction of Cornerstone at Galloway in Atlantic County is underway, according to a recent announcement from Walters, a Barnegat-based developer.

The new, income-restricted apartment community will offer a total of 198 units in nine buildings. The development is designed to achieve LEED® and ENERGY STAR® status for
incorporating sustainable features.

“This new community will provide critical housing opportunities to families in Atlantic
County,” Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters said. “As
we continue to expand our presence in the state and surrounding region, we are
committed to building smarter, sustainable and more inclusive housing.”

Phase one will include 66 units and is slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2026. Phase two is expected to begin once phase one is completed.

The new one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments will feature full-size washers/dryers, fully equipped kitchens, window blinds in every room and secure key fob access. Residents will also enjoy an array of on-site amenities such as a multipurpose clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, a children’s tot lot, a basketball court, computer workstations and onsite parking.

Galloway Township offers proximity to Atlantic City and nearby attractions such as
historic Smithville Village. Residents also have easy access to local beaches and many
other recreational facilities.
