United Way of Northern New Jersey honored Crow Holdings at Carteret for its exemplary commitment to community with the 2025 Industrial Impact Award at the organization’s 26th Annual Commercial Real Estate Legacy Event this spring.
The celebratory brought together nearly 400 industry professionals committed to building stronger futures, raising more than $347,000 for the United Way of Northern New Jersey and ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families.
Crow Holdings Development’s 1.2 million-square-foot Carteret campus sits just off NJ Turnpike Exit 12, at 300-500 Salt Meadow Road. Delivered in 2023, the property has brought new life to a long-dormant, former brownfield site located north of Industrial Highway near the mouth of the Rahway River. It is a quintessential illustration of public-private partnership at its best and has won multiple awards since its introduction.
Today, just one full-building leasing opportunity remains available.
“This United Way award is particularly meaningful to us as it reflects the positive environments that developments like Crow Holdings at Carteret are creating,” Brad Vander Vliet, vice president at Crow Holdings Development said. “Crow Holdings has a 75-plus-year legacy of looking forward. We are builders and developers in community and proud to support the important work of the United Way.”
The prestigious Impact Awards are given to real estate projects with an outstanding commitment to the community, including increased employment, environmental awareness or quality urban revitalization. NEST in Kenilworth was honored in the office category at this year’s festivities. Rob Kossar of JLL was honored with the Spirit of Philanthropy Award.
In addition to the United Way recognition, Crow Holdings at Carteret was instrumental in Carteret Mayor Daniel J. Reiman receiving NAIOP New Jersey’s 2024 Caren S. Franzini Public Partner Award.
“We are incredibly proud of Crow Holdings at Carteret, from its world-class location and thoughtful design to its tangible and lasting contributions to the local and regional community,” Vander Vliet said. “As a good neighbor, Crow Holdings at Carteret has provided a thoughtfully designed campus that is supporting permanent local jobs and fostering economic growth. Mayor Reiman and his administration understand the benefits of development – at a time when that has become increasingly rare in New Jersey.”
