Cushman & Wakefield on Wednesday announced the strategic hiring of Joanna Manfro as managing director, Northeast Retail Investment Sales.
Based in New York, Manfro will focus on advancing client advisory services, expanding market relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the Northeast region. She joins the firm’s Tri-State Capital Markets team and will also be a vital component of the National Retail Investment Advisors (RIA) team.

Strategic growth in a dynamic market
In her new capacity, Manfro will work alongside Frank DiTommaso, executive managing director, under the direction of Peter Bronsnick, executive regional director. The National RIA team is led by Vice Chair Mark Gilbert.
“As the retail landscape continues to evolve, Cushman & Wakefield is committed to growing our national and regional retail advisory platform,” Gilbert said. “Joanna’s expertise will further strengthen our ability to deliver institutional-quality advisory in one of the most dynamic and opportunity-rich markets in the country.”
Gilbert emphasized the value of Manfro’s background, noting, “Joanna has the benefit and experience of the client’s perspective, and this makes her an even more valuable advisor.”
A tenured retail professional
Manfro brings more than 15 years of comprehensive experience in the retail sector to Cushman & Wakefield. Her career spans REIT acquisitions and multi-tenant retail brokerage, giving her a deep understanding of market trends and client needs.
Together with DiTomasso and Max Helfman, associate director on the Capital Markets team, Manfro will drive the expansion of Cushman & Wakefield’s retail investment platform throughout the Northeast.
“Joanna’s unique perspective and creativity will undoubtedly be well-received by owners throughout the Tri-State Region and she will help us drive meaningful outcomes for owners and investors,” DiTommaso said.
