Deon Feliz joins Integrity House board of trustees to bolster behavioral health integration

Newark-based Integrity House, a provider of comprehensive substance use and mental health services in New Jersey, announced the appointment of Deon Feliz, to its Board of Trustees. Feliz, a seasoned health care executive, joins the board for a three-year term as the organization continues to expand its footprint in integrated care and housing support.

The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Integrity House. In late 2025, the nonprofit launched several high-impact initiatives, including the Shelter to Home Program and specialized services for gambling addiction. Feliz’s two decades of experience in behavioral health system design are expected to be instrumental in scaling these efforts citywide and across the state.

Feliz currently serves as the director of Implementation & Sourcing at NovaOne, where she spearheads large-scale initiatives to improve health care accessibility. Her resume includes significant leadership roles at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where she focused on managed care and behavioral health system transformation.

“Deon brings deep expertise in behavioral health integration and healthcare operations that will strengthen Integrity House’s strategic direction,” Nikolas Carros, chairperson of the Board said. “Her leadership will support our efforts to expand access to care and strengthen outcomes for the families we serve.”

Beyond her corporate expertise, Feliz is a dedicated community advocate. She serves on the Board of Elders at Light of the World Family Worship Church and volunteers extensively in areas of:

  • Workforce Development: Helping individuals in recovery gain the skills needed for stable employment.

  • Reentry Support: Assisting formerly incarcerated individuals as they reintegrate into their communities.

  • Housing Stability: Supporting initiatives that connect vulnerable populations with long-term, affordable housing.

Founded in Newark in 1968, Integrity House has grown into one of New Jersey’s largest licensed nonprofit providers of integrated health services. With major campuses in Newark and Secaucus, the organization offers a full spectrum of care, including inpatient residential programs, outpatient clinics, and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides 24/7 crisis stabilization.

In 2025, the organization celebrated its 57th anniversary, marking decades of service that include pioneering harm reduction strategies like mobile recovery units and storefront needle exchange programs in downtown Newark.
