Docupace names Scott Willette as chief technology officer to drive AI-powered innovation

Holmdel-based Docupace, the provider of cloud-based back-office automation for the wealth management industry, announced Thursday the appointment of Scott Willette as chief technology officer.

An executive with over 20 years of experience scaling high-performing software organizations, Willette will lead Docupace’s technology strategy, platform architecture and global engineering teams. His appointment comes at a critical juncture as the firm accelerates its 2026 roadmap focused on agentic AI and cloud modernization.

Willette’s primary mandate is to oversee Docupace’s strategic transition to AWS cloud services while spearheading the development of “agentic AI”—autonomous digital teammates designed to execute complex back-office workflows.

“Scott brings the proven track record of architecting cloud-first platforms and driving operational maturity that Docupace needs as we step into this next chapter of growth,” Mike Zebrowski, chief operating officer at Docupace said. “His ability to modernize complex technology environments will be essential as we elevate the value we create for advisors and enterprises.”

In his new role, Willette will oversee:

  • AI agent deployment: Launching autonomous agents for advisor onboarding, account management, and compliance surveillance.

  • AWS migration: Completing the company’s transition to a modern, scalable cloud infrastructure.

  • Operational maturity: Reimagining the Quality Assurance (QA) function and infrastructure to ensure the platform remains the industry “standard-bearer” for reliability and security.

Prior to joining Docupace, Willette held senior technology roles at several major software firms, including LexisNexis, Litera, Digital Turbine, and MicroPact. He is widely regarded for his ability to improve product velocity and modernize legacy environments into agile, high-output platforms.

“Reliability, security, and operational maturity are not merely aspirations; they are obligations for an enterprise technology partner,” Willette said. “I look forward to leading a talented technology team to build a modern foundation capable of supporting long-term growth.”

Willette’s arrival follows a year of significant momentum for the Holmdel-based firm. Throughout 2025, Docupace integrated major acquisitions and launched key features that have set the stage for Willette’s upcoming initiatives:

Milestone Year Key Achievement Impact on Advisors
2025 Acquisition of Hubly Seamless workflow management and task automation.
2025 PreciseFP AI Template Builder Automated fact-finder generation and data gathering.
2026 (Planned) Agentic AI Rollout AI “digital teammates” for onboarding and compensation.
2026 (Planned) AWS Cloud Completion Enhanced security and near-limitless scalability.
