A significant commercial property located at 289 Main Street in downtown Hackettstown has been sold for $1.45 million. The deal, finalized recently, was brokered by Sheldon Gross Realty Vice President Eric Weston, who represented the undisclosed buyer.
The property, situated in the heart of Hackettstown’s bustling business district, spans 1.5 acres and features a 14,000-square-foot building that includes valuable warehouse space.
The new owner plans to utilize the site for both his distribution and online vehicle sales businesses.
A key appeal of the acquisition was the immediate income stream and operational diversity provided by the existing occupants.
“This property was a unique opportunity,” Weston said. “In addition to offering the sizeable warehouse space my client needed, it provided multiple current tenants—and all right in the middle of town.”
The site currently hosts a variety of existing tenants, including a mechanics shop, a dance studio, and a church, all of which will continue their operations under the new ownership.
Hackettstown, one of Warren County’s most populous communities, is noted for its strong regional access. The town is home to a university, a medical center, and a major corporate headquarters. Its location only four miles from Route 80 places its business district less than 60 miles from Midtown Manhattan and within a 40-mile drive of the Lehigh Valley cities of Bethlehem and Allentown.
