Englewood Health and AM/PM Urgent Care unveil new 16 Depot Square walk-in site

AM/PM Urgent Care and Englewood Health celebrated a major expansion of local medical access on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their brand-new, joint-venture site at 16 Depot Square in Englewood. The facility, located directly across from Veterans Memorial Park, represents the latest milestone in a strategic partnership designed to bridge the gap between primary care and emergency medicine.

The grand opening brought together Bergen County leadership, including NJ Senator Gordon Johnson, NJ Assemblywoman Shama Haider, and Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes. The ceremony highlighted the facility’s mission: providing high-quality, physician-led care with the convenience of a retail setting.

The new Englewood site is part of a larger network of AM/PM Urgent Care centers that recently entered into a definitive joint venture with Englewood Health. This collaboration allows for seamless medical record integration, meaning a visit to the urgent care is automatically updated in a patient’s Englewood Health Physician Network profile.

“This new urgent care location reflects the strength of our partnership with AM/PM and our shared commitment to making care more accessible,” Dr. Stephen Brunnquell, president of the Englewood Health Physician Network. “By working together, we’re able to extend physician-led care closer to where people live and work.”

Understanding that medical needs don’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule, the Depot Square location offers some of the most accessible hours in the region. The site is open every day from 8 a.m. to midnight, including weekends and holidays.

Services and Capabilities:

  • Non-life-threatening care: Treatment for fractures, sprains, lacerations (including stitches), and common illnesses like the flu or strep throat.

  • On-site diagnostics: Equipped with digital X-ray and EKG technology, as well as a full-service lab for rapid testing.

  • Pediatric care: Specialized walk-in services for infants and children, providing a vital resource for parents after regular pediatric offices close.

  • Physicals: Walk-in availability for DOT, school, camp, and sports physicals.

The Englewood opening comes on the heels of major news for the health system, following the January announcement that Englewood Health will join RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest academic health system. This move is expected to inject further capital and technology into the region’s outpatient networks, including the AM/PM partnership.

“Our mission has always been to deliver fast, compassionate care,” added Dr. Wesley Thek, founder and CEO of AM/PM Urgent Care. “Through this relationship with Englewood Health, we’re offering greater connectivity to a trusted network of providers.”
