Hoboken-based Faropoint on Wednesday announced it appointed Will Westhoff as senior vice president and market officer for the Midwest region. Westhoff will oversee acquisitions, asset management, and construction practices for the Hoboken-based tech-enabled real estate investment manager’s growing Midwest portfolio, which currently encompasses approximately 4 million square feet across 60 assets.
Westhoff will lead a team of six real estate professionals, focusing on sourcing direct and marketed deals through strategic partnerships with local and regional brokers, tenant representatives, and direct property owners.

Prior to joining Faropoint Westhoff served as vice president of acquisitions at Starwood Capital Group, where he was involved in over $4 billion of real estate investments across multiple asset classes throughout the United States. His background also includes experience as an Investment Banking Analyst with Deutsche Bank, where he covered M&A, debt and equity capital markets, and strategic alternatives for companies in the real estate, gaming, lodging, and leisure sectors.

A Chicago native, Westhoff earned his BBA in finance and real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is an active member of NAIOP national forums and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
