Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to a free Small Business Expo on Oct. 30 in downtown Newark, hosted by the New Jersey Citizen Action Education Fund (NJCAEF).
The event is designed to be a crucial opportunity for small businesses to connect directly with financial institutions, technical assistance providers, and key resource experts. The goal is to help secure affordable small business loans, products, and services specifically tailored to their operational needs.
“Small business owners have to wear many hats, and that can be challenging even at the best of times,” Leila Amirhamzeh, director of Community Reinvestment for New Jersey Citizen Action said. “Our Expo is a golden opportunity for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Newark area to grow, connect, network, and access the vital tools they need for success, whether they have an established business or are looking to start one.”
A wide array of organizations, including numerous major banks and prominent business resource groups, will be participating to provide guidance and networking opportunities.
Participating organizations include:
- Banks: Bank of America, Citizens Bank, Industrial Bank, M&T Bank, PNC Bank, Santander Bank, TD Bank, Valley Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank.
- Resource Providers: Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation, Rising Tide Capital, New Jersey Small Business Administration (NJ SBA), SCORE Metro NJ, YWCA Northern New Jersey, and WCEC Women’s Business Center.
