Tal Ben-Shahar, Kristen Volkland and Michael Lavery recently received the Gold Dome Award from Centenary University, the school’s highest honor.
The three were recognized at the school’s annual Glitter & Gold Gala, which raised almost $115,000 for student scholarships.
Ben-Shahar is the director of the school’s Master of Arts in Happiness Studies – a unique program that brings the Hackettstown-based school national attention.
Volkland heads Erbach Communications Group, the school’s longtime external communications partner.
Lavery is the former mayor of Hackettstown and currently serves as an attorney at Lavery, Selvaggi & Cohen.
The three were noted for their support of the school.
Centenary University, under the guidance of President Dale Caldwell, emphasizing keys to career and personal success by offering a variety of learning opportunities that empower students to develop intellectually, emotionally and interculturally.
