Holmdel-based iCIMS, a leading provider of talent acquisition technology, on Tuesday announced it appointed Daniel Joplin to the newly created role of chief AI officer. In this position, Joplin will be responsible for leading the company’s AI strategy, driving innovation across its product suite, and guiding its data science program with a commitment to safe and responsible AI use.
Joplin brings more than a decade of experience in data science and AI. Before joining iCIMS, he served as the director of data science at Mastercard and director of AI at Sword Health, a company specializing in AI for health care delivery. His expertise in leveraging AI to achieve transformative customer outcomes is expected to accelerate iCIMS’ ongoing AI initiatives.
“Daniel joins iCIMS at a defining moment in our AI transformation,” Jason Edelboim, CEO of iCIMS said. “His leadership will accelerate and scale our long-standing AI program as we reimagine the next generation of talent acquisition technology.” Edelboim added that Joplin will work with the company’s product and engineering teams to “unlock AI for our customers across the entire talent acquisition journey.”
Joplin expressed his excitement about joining the company, noting that iCIMS has been a pioneer in bringing AI to the talent acquisition space. Earlier this year, iCIMS became the only enterprise recruiting software provider to receive TrustArc’s TRUSTe Responsible AI Certification, the first AI certification focused specifically on data protection and governance. This certification underscores the company’s dedication to ethical and transparent AI practices. Joplin plans to build on this foundation by helping organizations hire responsibly, intelligently, and at scale.
