Inspira Health has partnered with Proud Moments ABA to expand access to autism care with two Proud Moments at Inspira locations. Proud Moments at Inspira Vineland and Proud Moments at Inspira Woodbury now offer comprehensive, family-centered care to ensure children with autism and their families receive full access to diagnostic and therapeutic services.
New Jersey has one of the highest rates of autism spectrum disorder – approximately 1 in 29 children – in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Despite the high prevalence, among the 16 states included in a 2022 CDC study, New Jersey also has the lowest rate (24.7%) of documented ASD testing for 8-year-olds diagnosed with ASD. Without formal testing, children and families cannot access many services that would benefit them.
Proud Moments at Inspira Vineland officially opened earlier this year. Proud Moments at Inspira Woodbury opened in early June and is located in the same building as an Inspira Autism Diagnostic Center, providing a more seamless experience by reducing physical barriers to care and expanding access to Inspira’s integrated autism care model.
“The partnership with Proud Moments is a powerful example of what can be achieved when passionate teams come together with a shared vision to care for the ASD community,” April Venable, senior vice president of Operations Strategy and Transformation at Inspira Health said. “I’m incredibly grateful to both the Inspira and Proud Moments teams, who have worked tirelessly to open two new locations to further our goal of reducing diagnostic delays and increasing access to autism care in South Jersey.”
As a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services, Proud Moments at Inspira is dedicated to delivering personalized, evidence-based care for children diagnosed with ASD. The program offers a child-centered approach to care through its comprehensive range of services to effectively develop communication, social, emotional, and adaptive daily life skills, tailored to the child’s unique needs.
“As a parent of a child with autism, I have seen firsthand how critical early and ongoing care is for children with autism and their families,” Vishal Shah, chief development officer at Proud Moments ABA said. “Without access to early diagnostic testing and ongoing care, children are less likely to receive the therapies needed for them to thrive. We are thrilled to partner with Inspira and strengthen our ability to deliver ongoing support for families in New Jersey.”
