Inspired by Somerset Development has broken ground on oceanfront condominium complex LIDO Asbury Park, and eight-story 112-unit with residences going for up $8 million.
LIDO, which is expected to be completed in 2027 will feature one- to four-bedroom homes spanning approximately 970 to more than 3,800 square feet, with many offering private outdoor space and Atlantic Ocean views. LIDO has seen significant early demand since launching sales in July and has already set a record for the highest-priced condo ever sold in New Jersey. Pricing starts at $1,035,000.
Each home includes a primary suite designed as a private retreat, with spa-like bathrooms, custom white oak vanities, and radiant heated floors. Kitchens are appointed with Taj Mahal natural stone countertops and backsplashes, with islands and peninsulas showcasing waterfall inlays.
The ceremonial groundbreaking took place Monday, including a toast in the sales gallery, and remarks from Inspired by Somerset Development CEO Ralph Zucker, Asbury Park Mayor John Moor and Corcoran Sunshine Senior Managing Director Jodi Stasse.
“Asbury Park has become one of the most sought-after beachfront destinations in the country, and LIDO is raising the bar for what luxury living looks like here,” Zucker said. “Breaking ground represents not only a major milestone for LIDO, but also for the continued transformation of Asbury Park as a place where natural beauty, culture, and world-class design meet. We’re thrilled to bring this vision to life.”
LIDO is enriched by an expansive indoor-outdoor amenity collection. Outdoor highlights include a saltwater pool with a sun shelf and infinity edge, private cabanas, an outdoor shower, and an alfresco dining suite with a built-in kitchen. The complex includes a private park and adds a lush open-air oasis with barbecue grills, landscaped pathways, firepits, trellised seating, and a sculpture garden.
Wellness offerings include an indoor-outdoor spa pool with hot and cold plunges, a Turkish hammam, Vichy shower, treatment room, and indoor and outdoor saunas, along with an oceanfront fitness center and a studio for yoga, training, or meditation.
Indoor spaces include a library lounge with a fireplace, a parlor room, social lounge, coworking suite, oceanfront activity lounge with billiards and cards, and a private dining and entertainment suite with a catering kitchen. It also includes a game room, multisport simulator, screening room, pet spa, and playroom.
Complementing these extensive amenities, the building will showcase interiors by the internationally renowned Clodagh Design, known for its extensive global work of luxury hotels and residences. Architecture is by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners and landscape design is by Melillo Bauer Carman. Drawing from its waterfront surroundings, LIDO embodies a design ethos grounded in character, craftsmanship, and relaxed luxury.
