Underlining a robust commitment to growth within the region, J.P. Morgan Private Bank announced the appointment of two key executives to lead its rapidly expanding New Jersey market. Kevin Morrison has been named New Jersey market manager, and Pete Donchez has been appointed head of investments & advice for the market.
This leadership update comes amidst significant expansion for the firm in the Garden State. The Summit office space was recently expanded, ahead of its 10-year anniversary in 2026. Reflecting this growth trajectory, the New Jersey team has already doubled in size over the past seven years. Looking ahead, J.P. Morgan Private Bank plans to add another 150 employees in New Jersey over the next five years.
New leadership team
In his new role, Morrison leads a sophisticated team of over 90 bankers, wealth strategists, and financial specialists. Based in Summit, this team provides comprehensive guidance spanning investing, philanthropy, family office management, credit, and fiduciary services. Morrison brings profound regional expertise to the position, having co-led the New Jersey market for the past nine years as the Head of Investments and Advice.
Donchez, who succeeds Morrison will now lead a team of 20 investment specialists collectively responsible for $40 billion of client assets. Donchez has been a cornerstone of the New Jersey team since joining as an associate in 2012. He has been instrumental in the investment business’s growth, which has more than doubled over the past five years.
