Jersey Mike’s announced it will donate 20% of all sales from its more than 3,100 locations nationwide on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, to Best Buddies International.
The partnership aims to raise funds for Best Buddies’ mission, which is dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for people with IDD.
“We are pleased to announce that Jersey Mike’s is supporting another Best Buddies Special Weekend this Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, when 20 percent of sales will be donated to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” Charlie Morrison, CEO of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems said.
Jersey Mike’s Founder Peter Cancro encouraged customers to participate, adding, “So please join us and let’s ‘All Raise Up’ together.”
Commitment to integrated employment
Beyond the weekend fundraiser, Jersey Mike’s is actively working with Best Buddies to create sustainable, integrated employment opportunities for individuals with IDD within its restaurants. This initiative provides participants with an income, promoting continuous independence and self-support.
Best Buddies International Founder, Chairman & CEO Anthony K. Shriver praised the dual commitment, stating the partnership showcases the powerful role of businesses that “lead with purpose.”

Currently, eleven Jersey Mike’s locations are participating in the employment program, with plans to roll out the initiative in additional cities underway, underscoring the company’s mission of “Giving…making a difference in someone’s life.”
