Larken Associates brings national youth soccer powerhouse to Raritan Crossing

Larken Associates on Friday announced it successfully brokered a 3,321-square-foot lease with KidsUnited at Raritan Crossing. The addition of the national youth soccer training franchisor further solidifies the retail center’s reputation as a family-centric destination for the Bridgewater, Somerville and Raritan markets.

The transaction was led by Victor Kelly, executive vice president of Larken Associates’ Commercial Division, who represented the firm.

KidsUnited is one of the fastest-growing youth sports franchises in the United States, currently operating more than 20 locations across seven states with dozens more in the development pipeline. The program is specifically designed for early childhood development, focusing on children ages 1.5 to 10.

Unlike traditional sports programs, KidsUnited utilizes a specialized curriculum to build:

  • Fundamental Athleticism: Balance, coordination, and motor skills.

  • Core Values: Confidence, discipline, and resilience.

  • Social Skills: Teamwork and communication in a high-energy environment.

“Raritan Crossing’s central location, high visibility, and diverse tenant mix make it an ideal environment for a concept like KidsUnited,” Victor Kelly said. “We are excited to bring another in-demand, family-oriented business to Raritan Crossing and further round out our tenant roster.”

Located at 90 East Somerset Street and Route 206 South, Raritan Crossing is a 62,955-square-foot, three-building retail landmark. Its strategic position less than a mile from the Somerville Circle provides tenants with unparalleled access to major arteries, including Routes 202 and 22, as well as Interstates 78 and 287.

KidsUnited joins a robust lineup of established national and local retailers at the center, including:

  • Anchor & Fitness: Dollar Tree and Retro Fitness.

  • Health & Wellness: Hunterdon Health Urgent Care.

  • Dining: Domino’s Pizza and various local eateries.

The center recently underwent capital improvements, including updated storefronts, landscaping, and signage, ensuring a modern and inviting experience for the approximately 35,000 vehicles that pass the site daily.
