How’s this idea for making a little spare change go a long way?
Manasquan Bank, as part of its 12th annual Community Day event, invited folks to cash in spare change at any branch of the bank. Manasquan Bank then donated 15 percent of every transaction total to local charities.
All told, the effort generated $10,000 in funding, resulting in a total of five charities in Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean counties getting a donation of $2,000.
The event followed the bank’s 2025 Days of Giving program.
Community Day is fully funded by Manasquan Bank, and is planned, organized and hosted by its employees. The event was held at Squan Plaza in downtown Manasquan.
Manasquan Bank SEVP Cath Franzoni praised their efforts over the past two weeks.
“Community Day and Days of Giving are shining examples of what it means to be a true community bank,” she said. “To see hundreds of families laughing, sharing, and celebrating together is a reminder of why we do what we do. Our team is honored to create these moments and proud to support local organizations that make such a difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
