The Mark Cuban Foundation announced a partnership with Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey to host three free Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamps for local high school students this November.
The program, part of a nationwide initiative spanning more than 25 cities, is specifically designed to introduce teens to the fundamentals of AI and illustrate its practical applications across a diverse range of industries.
The Philadelphia Bootcamps will take place on Nov. 1, 8 and 15.
Inspiring the next generation of innovators
The AI Bootcamp’s curriculum is structured to highlight AI’s impact in critical fields, including:
- Health Care
- Arts and Entertainment
- Business
- Computer Science
- Sports
- Ecology and Food Security
The collaboration strongly aligns with the mission of both organizations: the Mark Cuban Foundation seeks to prepare young people for an equitable future using emerging technology, while Girls Inc. inspires girls to be “strong, smart, and bold” through mentorship and skill-building programs.
“We are thrilled about this partnership because it gives our teens the chance to step confidently into the future,” Natasha Johnson, CEO of Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey said. “By exploring the fundamentals of AI and seeing how it impacts everything… they can imagine themselves as innovators and leaders in any field they choose.”
Equal access to future careers
Mark Cuban, founder of the Foundation, emphasized the importance of broad access to technology education.
“Girls Inc. has a long history of helping young women build confidence and leadership skills, and we are proud to work alongside them in Philadelphia,” he said. “We want every student, no matter their background, to harness AI as a tool for learning, creativity, and career success.”
The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp initiative has already introduced thousands of high school students nationwide to artificial intelligence, encouraging curiosity and preparing them for future academic and career pathways in the rapidly growing technology sector.
