MJH Life Sciences acquires BPD Healthcare to accelerate innovation and patient care

MJH Life Sciences, a Cranbury-based medical media company in North America, announced the acquisition of BPD Healthcare, a tech-enabled comprehensive marketing and communications partner for major health care institutions.

The acquisition is designed to build a “powerful bridge” between medical science and patient care delivery, expanding MJH’s offerings and strengthening its Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program with hospitals and health systems.

“This is about building a powerful bridge between the science that transforms lives and the systems that deliver that transformation,” Michael J. Hennessy Jr., chairman and CEO of MJH Life Sciences said. “BPD shares our unwavering belief that when innovation meets communication, healthcare moves forward.”

The combined entities aim to create a new, faster, and smarter model for how innovation is adopted within the health care system, ultimately achieving a greater impact for patients.

MJH Life Sciences brings deep relationships with clinicians, researchers, and health care organizations, which are complemented by BPD’s expertise in helping those organizations expand, engage and evolve. BPD serves as a strategic growth partner to leading health systems and academic medical centers, offering fully integrated solutions including:

  • Branding, marketing, and communications.
  • Business consulting.
  • Technology-enabled, AI-infused strategies supported by a proprietary data platform.

Jason Brown, CEO of BPD, stated that joining MJH allows BPD to bring its focus on connecting meaning with action to a much larger scale, helping clients not just grow their brands but also strengthen and innovate the industry.

BPD will continue to operate independently under the BPD Healthcare brand as a wholly owned subsidiary of MJH Life Sciences. Jason Brown will remain CEO, reporting directly to Michael J. Hennessy Jr.

The alignment will enhance MJH Life Sciences’ already extensive capabilities. MJH produces over 2,500 live and virtual events annually and maintains strong partnerships with more than 800 associations, advocacy groups, academic medical systems, and community cancer centers. The acquisition of BPD positions MJH Life Sciences to deliver an even more comprehensive, data-rich suite of solutions to empower healthcare organizations, furthering MJH’s long-standing commitment to improving patient care and outcomes.
