NAI James E. Hanson successfully negotiated a 4,973-square-foot office lease for the National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section (NCJW/Essex), relocating the organization’s headquarters to 5 Becker Farm Road in Roseland.
Senior Vice President Andrew Somple, and Associate Jeccica Curry, represented the tenant, NCJW/Essex, in the transaction with the landlord, Sixpad Realty, LLC.
The move marks a new chapter for the nonprofit, which was founded in 1912 and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for women, children, and families across the community. The organization is moving from its previous home in Livingston.
Empowering the community
NCJW/Essex is known for spearheading several vital community-focused initiatives, including:
- The NCJW/Essex Back 2 School Store, which provides essential school supplies, personal care items, and clothing to thousands of children in Essex County.
- The Linda and Rudy Slucker NCJW/Essex Center for Women, which offers critical counseling and support services for women entering or re-entering the workforce.
- Advocacy programs that focus on critical social issues, including reproductive rights, voting rights, and gun violence prevention.
“NCJW/Essex is a vital organization that has been empowering women, children and families in our community for more than a century,” Curry said. “We were proud to help them secure a space to support their ability to continue delivering vital programs and services for those in need.”
The new location at 5 Becker Farm Road is a four-story, 121,667-square-foot office building conveniently situated just off the Interstate 280 and Livingston Avenue interchange. The property offers tenants key amenities, including a full-service café, ample on-site surface parking, and 24/7 access.
