The New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) said it appointed Robin Ford as its new vice president of Healthcare Reimbursement. Ford, a veteran in health policy, brings extensive experience from her previous roles, including serving as deputy commissioner of Health Systems at the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH).

Ford’s six years at the NJDOH provided her with a deep understanding of the licensing and financing of health care facilities in the state. Prior to that, she spent over 12 years as an analyst at the Office of Legislative Services, where she focused on budget analysis, policy, and legislation related to various state departments, including Health and Human Services.
NJHA President and CEO Cathy Bennett praised Ford’s expertise, particularly in the fiscal challenges facing healthcare providers.
“Robin has an unparalleled depth of knowledge of the policy and fiscal challenges facing health care providers, particularly in the area of payment for care delivered under programs like Medicaid and charity care,” Bennett said. “She will be an invaluable resource as our members work to preserve essential care amid $3.3 billion in Medicaid cuts under the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act’.”
Ford, who holds a master’s in public policy and a bachelor’s in political science from Rutgers University, most recently worked at the New Jersey Innovation Institute.
Expressing her excitement for the new role, Ford said, “I’m excited for this new opportunity – serving NJHA and the members who care deeply about delivering quality, accessible healthcare to communities across our state.”
