Ocean Casino Resort kicks off fifth annual ‘Season of Giving’ campaign, pledging over $280K in annual community support

Ocean Casino Resort on Monday announced the launch of its fifth annual “Season of Giving” campaign, a two-month-long initiative dedicated to supporting those in need across Atlantic City and the greater South Jersey community during November and December.

The “Season of Giving” marks the culmination of the resort’s year-round Ocean Cares philanthropic effort, which, including the current holiday campaign, is expected to exceed $280,000 in total giving and more than 750 volunteer hours by the end of 2025.

The annual initiative mobilizes Ocean team members, guests, and community partners to brighten the holiday season through charitable giving, volunteerism, and festive events.

“Our team takes great pride in giving back to the community that supports us year-round through Ocean Cares,” Bill Callahan, general manager of Ocean Casino Resort said. “The Season of Giving is one of our most meaningful traditions. It allows us to connect with incredible local organizations that make a lasting impact and share the joy of the season in a way that reflects Ocean’s values.”

The campaign began this month with a special celebration for local families, including an event with the South Jersey Field of Dreams at Santa’s Hideaway Adventure.

Major charitable efforts planned for November and December include:

  • Food Security: Serving Thanksgiving lunch and donating holiday food essentials to Adelaide’s Place and No1Hungry. The resort, in partnership with the Casino Association of New Jersey, will also provide 200 turkeys to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and donate $12,000 to the FoodBank’s emergency response fund.

  • Family Support: Contributing $12,000 to Sister Jean’s Kitchen and Pantry to purchase proteins for the month of November, benefitting up to 1,000 families weekly.

  • Education and Health: Providing ShopRite gift cards to students using the on-campus food pantry at Atlantic Cape Community College and delivering stuffed bear and blanket bundles to patients in AtlantiCare’s Pediatric Unit.

  • Direct Donations & Volunteerism: Supporting the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, hosting craft activities for youth, and organizing toy, winter accessories, and blessing bag drives for Angels in Motion.

  • Nonprofit Partnerships: Complementing efforts with direct donations to numerous local nonprofit organizations, including AC Rescue Mission, Avanzar, Atlantic County Toys for Kids, Arc of Atlantic County, St. Joseph’s Shelter and CASA.

Ocean is also offering two charitable holiday ornaments: the Ocean Cares Teal Globe Ornament, with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City, and the Ocean x MudGirls Ceramic Ornament, created with Atlantic City–based MudGirls to support their mission of empowering disadvantaged women through ceramic arts.

This “Season of Giving” initiative solidifies a successful year for Ocean Cares, which in 2025 provided over $239,000 in monetary donations, along with non-monetary aid such as food and supplies to local shelters and schools and awarded five $1,000 scholarships to Atlantic County high school students.
