Parsippany-based PBF Energy Inc. announced a leadership transition, naming Joseph Marino as the company’s new chief financial officer (CFO), effective Oct. 1. The promotion follows the retirement of the current CFO, Karen Davis, who will transition from her executive role to rejoin the company’s board of directors.
Marino has a long history with the company, having joined PBF in 2011. He has held a number of finance and accounting positions, including serving as assistant controller from 2015 to 2020 and most recently as treasurer since 2020. Prior to his time at PBF, Marino worked at Ernst & Young LLP, where he gained experience with corporations in the oil and gas industry.
PBF Energy CEO Matt Lucey praised both executives, highlighting the company’s commitment to internal talent development. He thanked Davis for her “exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication,” noting her instrumental role in strengthening the company’s finance team. Lucey expressed his confidence in Marino, stating that his expertise “will be instrumental as we continue to advance our financial initiatives.”
Davis, who previously served on the board of directors from January 2020 to December 2022, will bring her valuable experience back to the board. The company’s press release noted that this move ensures a seamless transition and continued leadership continuity.
