Meg Stagliano has been re-elected as the president of the N.J. Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, the group recently announced.
Meg Stagliano, SVP of ambulatory surgery at RWJBarnabas Health, was elected to her second term as board president.
The election came on a busy day for the group.
Sheila McAteer-Sturek of Virtua Health and Aaron Shecter (who works in two Bergen County locations) also were elected to a second term on the board.
In addition, Trina Brinkley of Freehold Endoscopy Associates, and Marjorie Reiter, of Surgery Center of Central New Jersey, were elected to fill two seats that were left vacant by former board members that were no longer able to serve.
Stagliano said the organization has important work to do.
“New Jersey’s ambulatory surgery center sector is a dynamic business and regulatory environment, and in many ways, has historically set a tone for the ASC industry nationwide,” she said. “NJAASC’s board plays an important role in helping to guide our member centers in this ever-changing business environment and keep them up to date on new and emerging legislation and regulations impacting the industry here in New Jersey.
“At the same time, the association, under the direction of our dedicated board, is committed to providing many opportunities for networking and informative programming year-round, as well as advocating for our members and New Jersey ASCs more generally. Our board works very hard to cultivate these events and ensure that our member centers and vendor members alike are realizing all the benefits of NJAASC membership.”
Other current board members include:
- Cori Prisco, administrator of Short Hills Surgery Center (VP);
- Joan McKibben, administrator of The Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery Institute, (Secretary);
- Elizabeth Convery, administrator of Livingston Surgical Center;
- Caroline Hauser, administrator of Florham Park Endoscopy & Hanover Endoscopy.
