Sandi Weiss named CFO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center 

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center (BNBMC) recently announced the promotion of Sandi Weiss to chief financial officer & vice president of finance. In her expanded role, Weiss will spearhead the financial strategy and stewardship for New Jersey’s largest hospital, guiding its continued growth and transformation within the complex health care landscape.

Weiss first joined Bergen New Bridge in 2020 as director of finance, quickly advancing to executive director of fnance. During her tenure, she was instrumental in strengthening the Medical Center’s financial foundation through innovative approaches to fiscal management and operational efficiency, especially during a period of rapid industry change.

“Sandi is not only a talented financial strategist, but also a trusted leader who understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing safety net, not-for-profit health care providers,” Deborah Visconi, president & CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center said. Visconi praised Weiss’s insight and dedication, noting their criticality to the Medical Center’s success.

As CFO & VP of finance, Weiss will oversee all financial operations, budgeting, and strategic initiatives to ensure the Medical Center’s continued stability as it expands its services across the region.

Weiss brings more than 20 years of experience in health care finance, having previously held senior leadership positions at Palisades Medical Center and North Fullerton Surgery Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from East Stroudsburg University.

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is a 1,070-bed facility, a clinical affiliate of Rutgers, and the fourth largest publicly owned hospital in the nation. As a not-for-profit safety net facility, it provides comprehensive services including acute care, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, long-term care, and a 24/7 emergency department.
