Spencer Savings Bank appoints Ken Plinio to lead home finance team

Elmwood park-based Spencer Savings Bank recently elevated Ken Plinio to the role of senior vice president, Home Finance director. In his new position, Plinio will oversee the bank’s Home Finance team, which provides a range of mortgage and home equity financing solutions to customers across the state. He will also be responsible for guiding the bank’s growth strategy within this business sector.

Plinio brings nearly 35 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry to his new leadership role. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions at several New Jersey financial institutions, gaining extensive experience in underwriting, operations management, and the secondary mortgage market.

Michael Claisse, executive vice president and chief lending officer at Spencer Savings Bank, expressed his confidence in Plinio’s appointment. “We are pleased to have Ken leading our Home Finance team. He has a strong background in the mortgage lending industry and excels at building strong relationships,” Claisse said.

Claisse added that the Home Finance team has a long history of helping customers achieve their homeownership dreams. “Whether your dream is to own a home, refinance on your current home loan or borrow against the equity in your home, our Home Finance team has all of your home lending needs covered.”

Plinio’s promotion reinforces Spencer Savings Bank’s commitment to providing robust home financing options and expert guidance to its customers. His leadership is expected to strengthen the bank’s position in the competitive New Jersey real estate market.
