The Connell Company has begun construction on RT600, its second luxury residential tower at The Park in Berkeley Heights. The groundbreaking marks a significant milestone in the company’s $500 million redevelopment of the campus, which aims to transform the business center into a vibrant, integrated destination.
The new 149-unit residential tower will feature extensive amenities, including a resort-style outdoor pool, a rooftop entertainment lounge and deck, a game room, co-working space, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. These features will complement the wide range of hospitality-based services already established across The Park.
Berkeley Heights Mayor Angie Devanney joined key Connell Company executives, including Executive Vice President Shane Connell, to officially start construction.
The launch of RT600 follows the recent topping out of The Park’s first residential building, RT500, which will contain 179 units. The combined towers, known as Round Table Residences, will total 328 apartments.
“RT600 marks an exciting step in The Park’s evolution to a destination neighborhood,” said Shane Connell. “We continue to see incredible demand for locations that offer walkability to shopping, dining and entertainment and RT600 will give residents access to a truly unique experience at The Park.”
The development is part of The District at The Park, a project that will anchor the campus with a walkable main street featuring 300,000 square feet of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Mayor Devanney praised the continued collaboration with the developer. “Berkeley Heights has always stood out for its innovation, abundance of outdoor space and strong sense of community,” she noted.
The Park, formerly known as Connell Corporate Park, is often dubbed New Jersey’s first “work resort.” It is already home to 1.5 million square feet of Class A offices—hosting major tenants like Fiserv, Samsung, L’Oreal, and Aon—along with a 176-room Embassy Suites hotel, a Lifetime Fitness center, the Grain & Cane Restaurant, and a signature co-working social club called Round Table Studios.
John Dionis, Managing Director of Real Estate and Development at The Connell Company, stated that the goal for RT600 is to “deliver a luxury experience for our residents… and unlike anything else in the region.”
With the addition of the new residential towers and the retail-focused District, The Connell Company is executing its vision to combine its vast office space with modern living and comprehensive amenities.
