The Valley Hospital announced today that it has received multiple top distinctions from Healthgrades for 2026, recognizing the hospital’s excellence in orthopedics, stroke, neuroscience, and critical care.
The hospital achieved several elite national recognitions:
- Orthopedics: Recognized as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery for 2026 and one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Joint Replacement for three consecutive years (2024-2026). Valley is one of only three hospitals in New Jersey to receive both prestigious awards.
- Critical Care: Named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care for three years in a row (2024-2026).
- Stroke Care: Recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care for the ninth consecutive year (2018-2026) and received the Stroke Care Excellence Award for 2026.
In addition to national recognition, Valley was ranked second in the state for neurosciences, cranial neurosurgery, and stroke care.

Healthgrades determines its specialty awards by evaluating risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide, helping consumers identify top performers in specialty care.
