The Urban League of Union County announced a growing partnership with Power Home Remodeling, highlighted by a generous $200,000 grant awarded through the company’s POWER for Good initiative.
The funding will directly support the Urban League’s mission-driven community services, including youth programs, workforce development, and other essential resources aimed at building opportunity and equity throughout Union County.
This partnership represents a shared commitment to community impact and meaningful engagement.
In recent months, both organizations have connected through site visits, volunteerism, and forward-looking collaboration:
POWER representatives visited the Urban League’s offices to learn more about the organization’s work and impact on the ground.
On April 21st, a team of approximately 15 POWER employees volunteered at the Urban League office, assisting with sorting and organizing hundreds of clothing items in the organization’s business attire closet.
“I am grateful to bring on new partners to our organization that saw the work we were doing and wanted to acknowledge it—not only through financial support, which is always appreciated—but by joining us in meaningful, hands-on ways,” Crystal Orr, president & CEO of the Urban League of Union County said. “I value partnerships that are holistic, where we support each other’s missions in kind. Volunteerism, shared vision, and community impact—that’s what this is about. That is exactly what Power Home Remodeling and their POWER for Good initiative have shown us.”
“POWER For Good is all about the empowerment and amplification of our people’s innate desire to do good and give back,” Jim Myers, director of Community Impact at POWER said. “Partnering with The Urban League of Union County is a direct reflection of our employees’ passions and interests, desire to support a deserving service organization, and drive to make a tangible impact in their local community.”
The Urban League of Union County and POWER are excited to continue building this impactful relationship—one rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and the goal of creating lasting change across New Jersey communities.
