5 big projects now underway with March Construction

From transit-oriented luxury rentals to state-of-the-art logistics hubs, the construction landscape across the tri-state area is seeing a massive surge this spring. March Construction, a Wayne-based construction management firm, announced five major projects currently breaking ground or entering critical new phases.

These developments, spanning from the bustling Hudson County waterfront to the rugged landscape of Warren County, represent hundreds of millions of dollars in investment and the creation of over 1,000 new residential units.

1. Riverbend Block B: Redefining Harrison’s Waterfront

The transformation of Harrison continues as Advance Realty Investors taps March Construction for the next phase of the Riverbend District. Located at 1200 South 5th Street, this mixed-use residential community is part of a 35-acre redevelopment plan that has already delivered successful projects like The Wyldes and Steel Works. Block B will add to the district’s 3,300 planned residential units, offering luxury amenities and unmatched access to the Harrison PATH station.

2. Plaza Green: A Transit Hub Transformation in Fair Lawn

In Bergen County, the long-awaited Plaza Green project is set to break ground adjacent to the Radburn NJ Transit station. Developed by Danbro Properties and Sterling Properties, this four-story, age-restricted community will feature:

  • 145 Modern Apartments: Luxury living for active adults.

  • Fresh Essentials: A new ground-floor Sprouts Farmers Market.

  • Amenities: A rooftop deck with a media wall, sauna, cold plunge, and golf simulator.

3. Thorndal Circle: Luxury Living in Darien, CT

Expanding beyond New Jersey, March is managing the construction of Thorndal Circle for Trammell Crow/High Street Residential. The 11-acre development in Darien will consist of five separate buildings totaling 175 units. Just a half-mile from downtown, the Class A community features a 2.5-acre nature preserve, a resort-style pool, and fully electric, high-efficiency appliances in every residence.

4. ECCO Apartments: Elizabeth’s Newest Downtown Gem

Building on the success of the Vinty project, MAS Development and LeCesse Development have secured $83 million in financing to begin ECCO Apartments. This 258-unit community is rising at 250 Union Street, directly across from the recently renovated Elizabeth Train Station. The four-story project includes 3,200 square feet of ground-floor retail and is scheduled for completion in late 2027.

5. Belvidere Urban Renewal: Warren County’s Logistics Hub

Logistics and distribution remain a core driver of the regional economy. In Belvidere, Krame Development and March Realty have kicked off a massive 373,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility.

  • The Site: 38 acres on Manunka Chunk Road.

  • The Specs: 50-foot ceilings, 95 loading docks, and 88 trailer stalls.

  • Efficiency: A PILOT program is in place, and the site is less than a mile from Route 46, ensuring smooth regional access.
