Atlantic Health has announced Melissa Lozano as its System Medical Director of Women’s Health.
Lozano joins Atlantic as a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and previously served as an attending OB-GYN at Mount Sinai West. She additionally was the division director of generalists and laborists and postpartum medical director at the Icahn School of Medicine, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and clinical operations aimed at improving patient experience.
In this role with Atlantic, Lozano will be responsible for advancing women’s health care across the unit, with models supporting patients at all stages of life. She will collaborate with the hospital chairs and other system leaders.
Lozano was thankful for the opportunity.
“I am honored to join this incredible team at Atlantic Health and lead efforts that prioritize the health and well-being of women in the communities we serve,” she said. “Together, we will continue to expand access to advanced care, and continue to innovate and improve care for all patients.”
Additionally, Atlantic appointed Amanda Tempe as the Executive Director for Women’s Health, having been with the organization since 2016. She began her journey as a practice administrator overseeing 25 primary care practices.
