Atlantic Visiting Nurse, part of the Atlantic Health, was ranked as the No. 1 home health agency in New Jersey in the inaugural U.S. News rankings, released Tuesday.
The inaugural ratings broke the respondents into two categories: ‘High Performing’ and ‘As Expected.’
Atlantic Visiting Nurse scored a 4.75 (out of 5) after recording a perfect patient experience rating (5 out of 5) and a quality rating of 4.5 out of 5.
Atlantic Visiting Nurse was tops among the eight New Jersey home health agencies to be placed in the high performing category. Seven others scored a 4.25.
Thirty-seven organizations were judged to be “As Expected.”
U.S. News officials said the new evaluation aims to provide a data-backed digital resource for millions of Americans seeking high-quality health care in the comfort of their own homes following a hospital stay or illness.
The release comes at a time when demand for post-acute care continues to rise, U.S. News evaluated more than 12,000 Medicare-certified home health agencies across the country.
Here are the eight agencies to receive a ‘High Performing’ ranking.
- Atlantic Visiting Nurse of Morristown: 4.75
- Amedisys Home Health of Hackensack: 4.25
- Bayada at Inspira, Home Health and Hospice in Millville: 4.25
- Bayada Home Health Care of Pennsauken: 4.25
- Bayada Home Health Care of Whiting: 4.25
- Cape Regional Home Health Care in Cape May Court House: 4.25
- Valley Home Care of Paramus: 4.25
- Hunterdon Medical Center Home Health in Flemington: 4.25
