In a special tribute to Veterans Day, Big SNOW American Dream, North America’s only indoor, year-round, real-snow ski and snowboard park, is inviting all veterans and active-duty service members to hit the slopes for three hours of complimentary snow time on Nov. 11, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The event underscores a major gesture of appreciation from the New Jersey attraction, which is proudly operated by the New Jersey-based SNOW Partners.
Veterans and service members simply need to show a valid military ID to receive a free “SNOW Day” package that includes everything needed for an afternoon of fun:
- Three hours of slope access
- Equipment rentals (skis or snowboard)
- Outerwear (jacket and pants)
- Helmet
- Beginner lessons at the Terrain Based Learning Area™
This year, Big SNOW is collaborating with the New Jersey Veteran Support Alliance (NJVSA), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering Garden State veterans through medical, mental health, and transitional housing assistance, as well as enriching community experiences.
The partnership aims to bring together an estimated 200 veterans for a special day designed for camaraderie and relaxation.
“Skiing and snowboarding are more than just winter sports, they are a community built on camaraderie, resilience and shared passion,” Amiana Tyransky, Resort Marketing manager at Big SNOW American Dream said. “We wanted to offer veterans a unique, yet heartfelt way to say thank you for their service. We hope this offer gives them the opportunity to reconnect, unwind, and enjoy some well-deserved fun sliding on snow.”
Located in the American Dream complex in East Rutherford, Big SNOW is the first of its kind in the United States and Canada, boasting four acres of snow-covered slopes and a 160-foot vertical drop, providing perfect winter conditions year-round, regardless of the weather outside.
