Last summer, Boscamp and his wife, Dr. Yukiko Kimura, donated $100,000 to create a student scholarship. The doctors, both pediatricians, hope the scholarship they’ve created will help ease the burden of student loan debt that can be a barrier to those who may want to pursue less lucrative specialties in medicine.

Muscarelle Endowed Dean, a professor of pediatrics and director of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Murtha was thrilled this spring at the opening of the 15-story Ambulatory Medical Pavilion. Located on the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital campus in New Brunswick, it will provide residents, fellows and medical students and faculty at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School faculty with a new state-of-the art environment.

While his interests span many areas of clinical epidemiology, his major research interest is in the field of pharmacoepidemiology — the application of epidemiologic methods to the study of drug use and effects.
