The New York-born coffee sensation that turned daily commuters into “Gregulars” is officially bringing its “hustle and grind” to the New Jersey suburbs. Gregorys Coffee has announced the launch of its first-ever franchise program, choosing Old Bridge as the home base for its inaugural recruitment event.
After two decades of operating as a founder-led brand, Gregorys is partnering with Craveworthy Brands—a powerhouse franchise platform led by former Jimmy John’s CEO Gregg Majewski—to scale the specialty coffee model across the Garden State and beyond.
The decision to host the brand’s first Franchise Open House in Old Bridge on Feb. 17, underscores New Jersey’s role as a primary growth engine for the brand. The event will take place at the newly opened Glenwood Green Shopping Center off Route 9, a location that represents Gregorys’ shift toward high-traffic suburban “lifestyle centers.”
“We’ve spent years building Gregorys with intention and care,” Founder Gregory Zamfotis said. “With the support of an industry leader like Craveworthy, we’re ready to partner with passionate operators who want to bring something meaningful to their communities.”
For New Jersey business owners, the partnership with Craveworthy Brands offers a “full-stack” support system that is rare for emerging coffee franchises. Entrepreneurs looking to get in on the $80 billion specialty coffee market will have access to:
- NYC Roastery Supply: Small-batch beans roasted directly in New York City for maximum freshness.
- Infrastructure: Support in data-backed site selection, supply chain management, and marketing.
- Established Loyalty: A pre-existing fan base of “Gregulars” who already commute between NJ and NYC.
Open House Details
Local entrepreneurs and “Gregulars” interested in owning a piece of the brand are invited to the Old Bridge shop to meet the leadership team and sample the menu.
