Cooper Foundation’s Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias Event marks 15th year, raising $350,000 to fight women’s cancer

Hundreds of community members gathered for The Cooper Foundation’s 15th Annual Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias event, which raised more than $350,000 for women’s cancer programs at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The cherished South Jersey tradition honors survivors, remembers loved ones, and funds vital breast and gynecologic cancer initiatives.

Since its inception, the annual fundraiser has generated over $8 million in total to support research, clinical trials, and patient programs.

This year’s funds will be used to advance research and clinical trials, expand access to early detection and diagnostics, and strengthen support programs for women throughout their cancer journey.

George E. Norcross III, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cooper University Health Care, highlighted the commitment to increasing care access. He noted that the event, for the past 15 years, has been key to advancing cancer care across South Jersey, complementing efforts like the expansion of MD Anderson at Cooper’s radiation oncology services to Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional.

“Each year, Pink Roses & Teal Magnolias showcases the strength of our patients, the dedication of our care teams, and the compassion of our community,” Philip Norcross, chairman of The Cooper Foundation Board, said.

The program recognized six outstanding team members as the 2025 Pink & Teal Heroes for their dedication to advancing cancer care:

  • Stuti Ahlawat, (Radiation Oncologist)
  • Allison Gittens, (Head, Division of Breast Imaging)
  • Courtney Griffiths, (Gynecologic Oncologist)
  • Megan Mezera, (Radiation Oncologist)
  • Theresa Netz (Nursing Director, Radiation Oncology, Cooper Cape Regional)
  • Jeffrey Tenner (Breast and General Surgeon, Cooper Cape Regional)

Dr. Generosa Grana, director of MD Anderson at Cooper, praised the event’s enduring success, stating the funds “fuel research, expand access to treatment, and help create a world where cancer is detected earlier, treated more effectively, and faced with greater hope.”

The Cooper Foundation offered special thanks to presenting sponsors, The Forman Family Foundation and SP+ (The Fogel Family), for their continued generosity.
