Garden Commercial has officially strengthened the retail lineup at Regent Shopping Center with the grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art Crunch Fitness. Located at the busy intersection of Route 34 and Lloyd Road, the “No Judgments” gym now serves as a major wellness anchor for the Monmouth County community.
The new facility spans 25,000 square feet, offering an expansive environment for Aberdeen residents to pursue their fitness goals. Crunch Fitness joins a diverse mix of tenants at the 178,000-square-foot shopping center, which is anchored by Stop & Shop and features long-standing local favorites like DeMarco’s Catering & Gourmet Deli, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary at the property.
Headquartered in New York City, Crunch Fitness has grown into a global powerhouse, serving over 3 million members across more than 500 gyms worldwide. The brand is celebrated for its unique philosophy of making “serious exercise fun” by fusing traditional fitness with high-energy entertainment.
“We are excited to be part of Regent Shopping Center and the Aberdeen community,” said franchisee Tim DeLorenzo, a seasoned operator who also owns several other Crunch locations in New Jersey. “Our goal is to create a space where people can have fun, feel great, and get results from their workouts, regardless of where they are in their fitness journey.”
The Aberdeen location is designed to provide a high-value experience that caters to all fitness levels. Members have access to a wide array of specialized equipment and recovery tools, including:
- The HIITZone: A dedicated area for high-intensity interval training.
- Diverse Group Classes: Zillions of innovative options including Yoga, Zumba®, and specialized strength training.
- Relax & Recover: High-end amenities such as HydroMassage®, tanning, and red light therapy.
- Olympic Platforms: Dedicated spaces for heavy lifting and functional training.
The addition of Crunch Fitness is part of a broader strategy by Garden Commercial to evolve the tenant mix at Regent Shopping Center to meet the changing needs of modern consumers. The gym is situated alongside other recent health-focused additions, such as JAG Physical Therapy.
“Its high-quality member experience and affordable price point makes it a great addition to the property,” Michael Gartenberg, director of Garden Commercial said. “It’s a welcome new amenity for those who live and work in Aberdeen and the surrounding area.”
Garden Commercial, a Short Hills-based developer, continues to be one of the nation’s largest operators, managing more than 25 million square feet of retail and office space. The successful integration of Crunch Fitness into the Aberdeen market underscores the firm’s commitment to creating vibrant, service-oriented community hubs.
