Eisner Advisory Group elevated six employees at its Iselin location to partner, effective Oct. 1, the firm announced.
The six are part of a nationwide group of 31 employees who were elevated. It’s the largest class of new partners in firm history.
Eisner Amper CEO Charly Weinstein applauded the promotions.

Here’s a look at the six who work out of the Iselin location.
James Agar (Advisory, Financial Services): Agar is now a partner in the firm’s Forensic, Litigation & Valuation Services Group. He leads the firm’s Post-M&A Dispute practice. With more than 30 years of experience, Agar specializes in accounting arbitration and neutral services, transaction party advisory, expert witness testimony, complex commercial litigation consulting, expert witness testimony, and contract compliance assessment (including royalties), among other specialties.
Ryan Berman (Assurance, Commercial Services): With more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, Berman serves both public and private organizations. He is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences and Technology, Manufacturing and Distribution and the Public Company Groups. He assists clients with domestic and international auditing and business consulting services, and he has significant experience in SEC compliance, initial public offerings, business combinations, equity-based compensation, and other equity instruments.
Denise Moderski (Tax Services): With more than 10 years of experience, Moderski primarily focuses on state and local income taxation and serves clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, FinTech, professional services and real estate, amongst other areas. Her specific areas of service include ASC 740, state and local income/franchise tax compliance and consulting matters, including nexus studies, tax due diligence, business entities restructuring, sale of partnership interest analysis, pass-through entity tax elections, state sourcing, state notices resolutions and audit defense.
Nicholas Montorio (Tax Services): With more than 15 years of experience, Montorio has deep experience in a variety of state tax matters, including the state tax implications associated with mergers and acquisitions, identifying and securing state income tax refunds, and representing clients through state tax controversies. He is specifically proficient in providing consulting services with respect to New York and New Jersey corporate income taxation. Montorio primarily serves partnerships and corporations in the manufacturing & distribution, financial services and technology industries.
Alyssa Rausch (Tax, Private Client Services): She has more than 15 years of experience in providing comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses and their owners, S corporations and partnerships. Prior to joining the firm, Rausch was an accountant with a regional accounting firm and was responsible for the review of tax returns, tax research and finding solutions for tax clients.
Douglas Tapp (Tax Services): He brings more than 20 years of public accounting experience with a focus on planning and compliance for closely held businesses and their owners. Tapp’s expertise encompasses S corporation taxation, partnership income taxation, individual tax returns; state, local and multi-state taxation issues. Prior to joining the firm, Tapp worked in the tax department of a large international tax-exempt organization.
