Framework rises on Gardens at Roseland: luxury multifamily project reaches key construction milestone

Construction is moving forward at Gardens at Roseland, as the initial framework for the new luxury multifamily community is now underway. Developed by Short Hills-based Garden Communities, the property is set to introduce 211 upscale rental residences to the desirable suburban town of Roseland in western Essex County.

Located at 146 Harrison Ave., Gardens at Roseland will feature a diverse product mix of spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments in four-story, elevator-serviced buildings. The residences, which include single-level and duplex layouts, will offer modern living spaces up to 2,500 square feet.

“Gardens at Roseland’s impressive amenities, ultra-convenient location and diverse product mix truly stand apart,” said Lori Dargento, property and leasing manager for Garden Communities. “This one-of-a-kind lifestyle experience will appeal to every demographic of renter from young professionals and families to empty-nesters.”

The pet-friendly residences will include sought-after features such as private balconies or patios, gourmet kitchens, large closets, and in-suite washers and dryers. A premium amenity is the inclusion of an attached, private garage with direct exterior entry for all duplex layouts, with select single-level apartments also offering direct-entry garages.

The community is designed to foster an active, resort-style living experience. The clubhouse will feature a fitness center, entertainment room, fireside lounge, and private workspaces. Outdoor amenities are highlighted by a multi-use sports court for pickleball and basketball, a heated pool with sundeck, al fresco dining areas with BBQ grills and firepits, and EV charging stations.

The community’s location enhances its appeal, offering a peaceful, small-town atmosphere with convenient access to shops, dining, and major roadways like I-280 for an easy commute to New York City. Roseland is also known for its highly regarded schools and abundant parks.
