Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis in Iselin on Monday announced that Kenneth Sheehan joined the firm as a partner in the Environmental and Energy & Renewable Resources practice areas.
Sheehan concentrates his practice on the regulatory, legislative and transactional issues associated with initiatives involving highly regulated utilities, including clean and solar energy, electric and gas, solid waste, water and wastewater, cable and telecommunications.
He has notably served in numerous significant roles at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), including as Director of the Division of Clean Energy, Chief of Staff and Chief Counsel.
In private practice, Sheehan has represented clients before state and federal regulatory entities including the BPU, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the New Jersey Division of Community Affairs, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Federal Communications Commission.
“I am excited to join the knowledgeable and dedicated team at Greenbaum, which will provide me with opportunities to leverage my experience with utilities, government, and clean energy to benefit the firm’s clients. With both the traditional and clean energy spheres in constant transition, it is gratifying to be involved, at this point in my career, with the ever changing regulatory, legislative, and developmental aspects of energy, clean energy, and utilities here in New Jersey in such a meaningful and productive way,” Sheehan said.
