Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center appoints Sealove as chair of cardiology

Longtime Monmouth County cardiologist Dr. Brett Sealove has been appointed chair of the Department of Cardiology at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC) and Regional Chair of Cardiology of Hackensack Meridian Health’s Southern Region.

Sealove is board-certified in both cardiology and vascular medicine, with subspecialty expertise in cardiac imaging and preventive cardiology. For more than 15 years, he also served as a partner at Monmouth Cardiology Associates, and medical director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Lab.

“Dr. Sealove has served as our Chief of Cardiology since 2021 and has been a dedicated and valued member of our medical staff and community,” Vito Buccellato, president and chief hospital executive, JSUMC, said. “In this administrative role, I know he will enable our cardiology department team to continue to provide premier care services to the communities we serve.”

A graduate of the University of Michigan and Chicago Medical School, Sealove completed his residency and dual fellowships in Cardiology and Vascular Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Cardiology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and has mentored countless trainees while contributing prolifically to cardiovascular research.

“Dr. Sealove’s leadership, vision, and dedication to patient-centered cardiovascular care will continue to enhance the excellence of our Cardiology Department, and our reputation as a regional leader in heart health,” Dr. Harpreet Pall, vice president and chief medical officer, JSUMC said.
