HYLAN, a Holmdel-based provider of turnkey communications and utility construction solutions, recently announced a record-breaking fundraising total at its seventh annual golf tournament, held on Sept. 22 at the Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson.
The event successfully raised $125,000 for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF), which provides critical, free-of-charge support to New Jersey families facing the challenges of pediatric cancer. This year’s success pushes the tournament’s cumulative impact to nearly half a million dollars raised for local New Jersey charities.
The tournament brought together industry partners, colleagues, and community members for a day of golf, camaraderie, and charity. ECF representatives, including staff and volunteers, were present and accepted the donation during the evening reception.
A Powerful reminder of impact
The importance of the funds was underscored by a special guest, a young three-time cancer survivor currently in remission, who bravely shared his story of hope and resilience. His account served as a powerful reminder to attendees of the life-changing impact their generosity makes.
In remarks at the reception, the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation expressed profound gratitude to HYLAN, all sponsors, and participants for the record-breaking contribution. ECF provides essential services to more than 2,000 families annually, including in-home counseling, material assistance, and emergency aid.
Robert DiLeo, CEO and chairman of HYLAN, commented on the company’s commitment. “Each year, we are humbled by the outpouring of support from our partners, sponsors, and community at the HYLAN Golf Tournament,” DiLeo said. “This tournament has become a tradition that allows us to give back to organizations making a real difference in people’s lives. We are honored to support ECF this year and proud of the cumulative impact HYLAN has been able to make through this event.”
Leading sponsors for the tournament included Gold Sponsor Sitetracker, Silver Sponsor Violent Noise Records, and Bronze Sponsors Hempstead Tire, JR Cruz, United Fuel Service, Wells Fargo Advisors, and Wesco.
The day featured delicious food and beverages, as well as on-course competitions such as closest to the pin and a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz of Edison. The event concluded with a dinner, awards ceremony, and a DJ, providing a fitting celebration for a highly successful day of fundraising.
