Journal Square skyline reaches new heights: Panepinto Properties launches leasing at 505 Summit

The transformation of Journal Square continues its upward trajectory as Panepinto Properties officially announced the launch of leasing for 505 Summit. The soaring 53-story residential tower introduces 605 luxury rental homes to one of Jersey City’s most well-connected neighborhoods, with initial move-ins slated for late spring.

Located steps from the Journal Square PATH station, the glass-clad tower offers a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences. Rents are confirmed to start in the $2,700s, with the developer currently offering grand opening incentives of up to 2.5 months free for early lease signers.

Designed by HLW International, 505 Summit is more than just a residential addition; it is a mixed-use project intended to integrate with the surrounding community. The development includes 3,200 square feet of retail space and a brand-new landscaped public plaza at its base.

“505 Summit brings together the qualities that continue to draw residents to Journal Square: new high-rise living, curated amenities, and immediate access to PATH service,” Joseph Panepinto Sr., president and CEO of Panepinto Properties said.

The residences are defined by contemporary finishes, including nine-foot ceilings, luxury plank flooring, and kitchens equipped with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. To showcase the lifestyle on offer, the developer has debuted five fully furnished model residences designed by Panepinto Interiors and Regina Mariano Design.

Residents will have access to an expansive suite of indoor and outdoor amenities, including:

  • Social & Leisure: A karaoke lounge, game room, multi-sport simulator, and children’s playroom.
  • Wellness: A state-of-the-art fitness center with a dedicated yoga studio.
  • Work-from-Home: Modern co-working spaces and a resident lounge.
  • Rooftop Oasis: An outdoor pool, sundeck, BBQ dining areas, and a dog run with views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

Convenience features also include 24-hour concierge service, a pet spa, valet parking, and EV charging stations.

The launch comes at a time of sustained investment in Journal Square. Beyond its status as a transit hub—offering direct PATH access to Manhattan, Hoboken, and Newark—the area is rapidly evolving into a cultural epicenter. The neighborhood is home to the Mana Contemporary arts center and is anticipating the restored historic Loew’s Theater, which will serve as a major entertainment anchor.

The Marketing Directors has been appointed as the exclusive marketing and leasing agent, with Greystar overseeing property management.
